I use this technique in combination with my massage techniques. Where I treat the muscles specifically with massage, I treat the horse as a whole with T-Touch. I also like to use T-Touch as an introduction to the massage. It is also something that I easily can teach my clients to help keep their horses comfortable between massages. Because for T-Touch you don’t need much knowledge about the anatomy of the horse.

With T-Touch you can let a horse relax and make him more aware of his own body. The technique contains special touches that are part of the famous TTEAM method. The method was invented by Linda Tellington-Jones. TTEAM stands for Tellington-Jones Equine Awareness Method. The method consists of many different things such as the touches (T-Touch) and groundwork. But it also uses bandages (to make the horse more aware of its body) and obstacles (to improve eye-to-ground coordination).

I focus mainly on the touches, the T-Touch. The T-Touch is a form of touch that has a stimulating effect and also has a relaxing, healing and an awareness effect on the body of your horse. Your horse will, therefore, become more aware of its body. For example, you can help young horses who have no idea where their legs are to be able to coordinate themselves better.
